Down to the wire, and down to the final touches

The body fits pretty well. We need to finish the body work and then it is time to prime and paint. It is going to be down to the wire but we are optimistic.

So today was the first time the three of us got to tinker on the thing at the same time. Jason and I had done some testing during the weekend one it was all welded. We were anxious to see how Zach would feel about the touchy steering. After a few quick adjustments to the caster and the steering tie rods we got the Rod to handle in a suitable manner. Zach got the hang of it and even tried a little 180 slide stop in the video below.

Next step is to get some primer on the chassis to stop the rust that is rapidly forming since we moved it to San Francisco.

Week 4

Jason's sketches.

Week 4

Jason has been hitting it hard trying to get the rear swing arm dialed in. It has been a challenge to make sure all the axis are aligned and that we have the correct amount of tolerances for our suspension but it is coming along nicely.

Week 3

After laying out the initial geometry of the chassis we began re-enforcing it to support a driver.
